Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
Epic Marketing Shit ("we," "us," or "the newsletter") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. In plain English: we only collect what we need to send you great marketing breakdowns and keep the site running.
Who we are
Epic Marketing Shit is an independent marketing newsletter and website. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email us at hello@epicmarketingshit.com.
What we collect
- Your email address — only when you choose to subscribe through one of our forms.
- Usage data — anonymous, aggregated information about how visitors use the site (pages and editions viewed, device type, approximate location, referring site), collected through analytics cookies.
We do not ask for your name, payment details, or any sensitive personal information to subscribe.
How we use it
- To send you the newsletter and related updates you signed up for.
- To understand which editions and topics resonate, so we can make the content better.
- To keep the site secure and working properly.
Email & the tools we use
We use Brevo to manage our mailing list and send emails. When you subscribe, your email address is stored securely with Brevo. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email — no hard feelings.
We use Google Analytics to measure site traffic and understand what content performs. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data on our behalf; the information is aggregated and not used to personally identify you.
Embedded content
Some editions embed posts from third parties such as X (Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube. When these load, the respective platforms may set their own cookies or collect data according to their own privacy policies. We don't control those services, so we recommend reviewing their policies if that concerns you.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use them for analytics (to count visits and views), to remember your light/dark theme preference, and — where advertising is enabled — to serve and measure ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some preferences may not be remembered. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.
Advertising & Google AdSense
This site may display advertising served by third-party ad networks, including Google AdSense. In connection with this:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick/AdSense cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized ads at aboutads.info/choices.
- Learn more about how Google uses data on partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or a region requiring consent, ads and ad cookies will be handled in line with the applicable consent requirements.
Sharing your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share data with the service providers named above (Brevo, Google) strictly so they can perform their function, or if required by law.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe at any time. To make a request, email hello@epicmarketingshit.com and we'll take care of it.
Data retention
We keep your email address for as long as you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we'll remove it from our active list.
Children
This site and newsletter are intended for adults and are not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above. Significant changes may be announced in the newsletter.
